Depression can interfere with your ability to work, socialize, and even eat. We want you to live life again, and we’ll focus on two things: caffeine (!!!???) and physical activity.

Depression and fatigue are closely linked and often seen together. Like two bullies determined to make your life a living hell.
If you’re depressed, you may also have difficulty sleeping, leading to exhaustion and low energy levels. In addition, depression can lead to a loss of interest in activities and a lack of motivation, which can contribute to fatigue.

WHAT IS FATIGUE?
Fatigue is almost a constant weariness that develops over time and reduces your energy, motivation, and concentration.
Exhaustion, however, lasts longer, is more profound, and isn’t relieved by rest. Fatigue at this level impacts your emotional and psychological well-being, too.
You may NOT be depressed, you may only have chronic fatigue.
- Alcohol or drug use
- Excess physical activity
- Jet lag disorder
- Lack of physical activity
- Medications, such as antihistamines, cough medicines
- Not enough sleep
- Unhealthy eating habits

First, it’s important to get adequate sleep. Mount Sinai in New York recommends establishing a regular sleep schedule to help ensure you’re getting enough rest.
Second, try to stick to a healthy diet. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and lean protein can help provide the energy needed to get through the day. Drinking plenty of water is also important for staying hydrated and energized.
Third, regular exercise can help reduce fatigue. Even a brisk walk for 30 minutes can provide energy and help clear your mind. Joining a gym or taking up a new sport can also be fun and energizing. Group classes? Solo warrior? Both are good ideas!
Finally, it’s important to find ways to manage stress. Meditation, yoga, and other relaxation techniques can help reduce feelings of stress and tension. Activities like reading a book or listening to music can also help you feel more relaxed.
