Ok, so at TryMagenta.com we love animals, just like you. The first idea is to adopt a dog that can keep you on your toes. Lol! If you think about it, you will improve the life of your dog and yours too!
Now that we started the post in a good mood, let’s talk about fitness.
FITNESS KEEPS YOU HEALTHY
There’s scientific evidence of physical activity [ 1 ]. When you work out regularly, you can prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, obesity, depression, osteoporosis, and premature death. Omg! So fitness is a big deal!

SOLUTION: YOU DON’T NEED A GYM!
Gyms are an awesome place to make new friends, but the pandemic mandates change constantly and COVID-19 keeps mutating [ 2 ]. We still need to exercise! Let’s do it at home!
If the problem is that you don’t have time for the gym, you don’t want to work out with a mask inside a building, or is simply not your thing, here are some crazy ideas to get your fitness dose. Are you ready to have fun with this list?
1. (BREAK) DANCE like marshmello
If you were born in the 80s, you know what we’re talking about. If you’re from a different generation, you’re welcome to try it! Marshmello does an amazing job breakdancing! Feel free to subscribe to his YouTube channel after reading this post.
2. JUMP ON A TRAMPOLINE
This is a workout! Our friends at Jumping Fitness have this challenge of jumping on a trampoline, using a rope, with 1 leg! Not for the weak! You can buy your own trampoline online. They come in all sizes and styles. The mom of one of our writers has a trampoline to jump in the backyard when it’s sunny and in her room when it’s raining. Great idea!
3. DO HANDSTANDS
Fitness trainer from Miami, Chris Heria, teaches you to do a handstand…and hold it for longer! Hint: you only need a wall to practice and keep your balance. Check him out!
4. MOW YOUR LAWN (AND WIN THE NEIGHBORHOOD CONTEST TO THE BEST YARD EVER)
Ginger Billy is a comedian (and creative guy!) who was tired of mowing his lawn with a regular machine. So he developed the most luxurious cutting machines you’ve ever seen! Hack: if you build a lawnmowerer like his, you might skip the workout!
5. WAX YOUR CAR, LIKE KARATE KID
When you wax your car, you can get into karate student mode. “Walk left, safe. Walk right, safe. Walk in the middle, you get squished like a grape.” The full clip is available at Fandango, the amazing app that offers movie tickets. If you want to skip Mr. Miyagi’s teachings, you can try high-speed chores. More about high-speed at the end of this list.
6. GO TO THE MALL…and do your own walking tour!
This is a super idea from Walking Tours. The YouTube channel features walking tours of malls, famous attractions, big cities in the US and all over the world. While you walk and get your workout, you could also take pictures or videos!
7. PRACTICE YOUR mortal kombat uppercut WITH A DUMMY
The science of mortal kombat! The question is: can you uppercut a person off the ground? The answer might surprise you! Out of joke, you can buy a dummy to get your cardio, improve your balance, and speed up your reaction time.
8. youtube: MILITARY hiit workout
If you don’t like the uppercut dummy idea, you always have YouTube! Talented trainers like Anna from Team Grow are ready to motivate you and inspire you! It’s amazing how the fitness journey can begin with you, at home.
9. BUY A POLE AND BECOME AN EXOTIC DANCER (AT HOME!)
One of TryMagenta’s writers went to a pole dancing studio, and to her surprise, she found a couple of men also taking the class. Pole dancing environments promote body positivity and inclusion. She loved it! If you prefer to try pole dancing at home, here’s an idea: buy your own pole online, install it where you live, and become the dreamgirl (or dreamboy!) of the year! 10. HIGH-SPEED your chores
This one is the last one and the best one. Sometimes we don’t have the time to exercise in our own house, and there’s so much to clean! The solution: high speed your chores! The reality is that life keeps speeding. How about doing everything (including) chores in a rush like comedian Daniel LaBelle?
